Mrs. Betty Jo Boyd of Sylvester, formerly of Colquitt, died Friday, July 11, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services will be Monday, July 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Story officiating. Visitation will be Monday, July 14, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Colquitt City Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a nurse, a member of the Miller County Library Board, and a pink lady.
She is survived by one son, Al (Karon) Boyd of Sylvester, GA; one granddaughter, Kara Alissa (Billy) Doering of Sylvester, GA; one grandson, John-Michael Boyd of Sylvester, GA; one sister, Sue Parr of Albany, GA; and her loving caregivers, Barbara Gloria and Kenya Hillsman. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband, George Alton Boyd, Sr., her parents, Jonie and Elizabeth Bolton Ivey, Jr., and one sister, Georgia Fleming.
