Betty I Carlson of Canton, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ and personal Savior on July 4, 2025 at age of 97.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Neva (Evans) Lane. Husband of 30 years, Charles J. Carlson (beloved Poppy), her son Donald (D.J.) Furney, sisters, Beatrice, Eula, Wilma, Thelma, and infant daughter, Donna.
Survived by her children, Dawn (Perry) Holloway, David (Darcia) Furney, Dale (Laurie) Furney, Darla (Mike) Morris, and daughter-in-law, Angela (Davis) Furney, David (Molly) Carlson, and step-sons, Charles Jr. (Bonnie) and John (Ann) Carlson. Several grandchildren, David Scot (Veronica), Michelle, Perry II, Melanie, Angela (Nicole), Michaela, great-grandchildren, Allena (Ethan), David Roberto, Christina, Brooklyn, Ellis, Jaiden, multiple step-grandchildren, and multiple step-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and friends including her special sports buddy Dan.
She was a member of the Canton Mother of Twins Club, serving as President. She was a member of RiverTree Christian Church. She served the Lord with joy teaching little children for 42 years.
Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at RiverTree Christian Church (on Portage St.) at 11:00am with visitation at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canton Christian Home Benevolent Care, RiverTree Christian Church or Advantage Hospice.
