Mrs. Betty Ann Griffis, age 82, of Starke, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at her residence. Betty was born on July 17, 1943 in Bradford County to the late William R. and Pearl (Sapp) Conner and was a lifelong area resident. She attended Sampson City Church of God and prior to retirement she worked as a bus driver for the Bradford County School Board. Betty enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with her family, friends and her favorite dachshund, Misty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Dale Griffis. Survivors are her children, Ricky Dale Griffis (Stephanie) and Kimberly Ann Griffis and her sister, Nancy Coleman, all of Starke. Also left are her grandchildren, Kristin Cannon (Jacob), Kaitlin Ritch (Garrett), Courtney Finley (Alec), along with her great-grandchildren, Sophie Anne Finley, Kylie Cannon, Levi Ritch, Emery Finley, Carsen Finley, and Maggie Finley.

A celebration of Betty's life will be held at the Sampson City Church of God on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am with Reverend Gene Bass officiating. Interment will follow at Conner Cemetery. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200 www.jonesgallagherfh.com.
