Betty Jane Howard was born on September 28, 1938 in Joiner, Arkansas and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents Gordan Davidson and Leola Davidson, husband, Robert Howard and son-in-law Wayne Endress.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Endress, Terri Goebel and Cathy Harding, sister Mary Paulette Proffitt, 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Betty met the love of her life, Robert Joseph Howard in June of 1957 and married on May 8, 1959. Betty graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Union University in Jackson, TN. She worked for more than twenty-five years as the head nurse of the Psychiatric Unit at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. She retired and moved to Cabot, Arkansas where she finished her nursing career as head nurse of the Geriatric Psychiatric Unit at Rebsamen Hospital/North Metro.
Betty was a member of First Baptist Church in Cabot and enjoyed traveling and playing cards and Farkle. Betty was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N. J.P. Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076, 501-982-2136. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Endress, Joey Endress, Nick Goebel, John Martinez, Richard Martinez, and Billy Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cayden and Caleb Endress.
The family requests that memorials in Betty's memory may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38015 or online at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
