Obituary of Betty Jo Leach
Betty Jo (Parker) Leach was born on October 25, 1939, one of six children born to Katherine and Hermann Parker. She passed away on October 16, 2025. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Estelle Wilson, and Peggy Jean Barta, and her brothers Butch Parker and Morgan Parker. She is survived by her younger brother Frank 'Hankie' Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Glenn Gaddis; three grandsons, Justyn Glenn, and his wife Sarabeth, Taylor James and wife Anais, and Shane Patrick Matthew and wife, Kaitlyn; three granddaughters, Stephanie Gaddis, Abigail Garner and husband Jacob, and Mallory Gaddis; eight great-grandchildren, Autumn, James, Jonathan, Jackson, Penelope, Atticus, Frances Jo, and Maya Marie; and a host of many other family and friends.
Betty Jo grew up in the small town of Ingleside Texas and in 1959 she married her one true love, James Leach. They traveled all over the country until their beloved only child, Angela Jo, was born in 1966. In 1969, they moved to Pearland, Texas. Betty was a member of the 'On the Road Again' Camping Club for many years; she and James enjoyed countless trips with their friends and family.
When she and James were first married, she worked for Martin C. Haskett - Attorney at Law and then became a full-time wife and mother. In the late 1980's she opened a screen-printing studio, Rainbow Shirts, which she ran successfully until she retired in 1992 to help keep her grandsons.
Betty Jo was a kind, giving, beloved friend to many, and a fantastic mother to her daughter and grandmother to her sweet grandchildren. She never met a stranger and loved her friends deeply. Betty Jo will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
