Betty L. Maguire, 83, of Carlinville, IL, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Betty was born August 19, 1941, in Gillespie, IL, a daughter of William and Virginia East Giller.
Betty had held several jobs in her career. She was a nurse's aide at Carlinville Area Hospital, a truck driver for Buske Truck Line in Litchfield, IL, and private duty health care, retiring in 2010. She loved reading books, had many plants that she took care of, and she loved collecting all kinds of things. She was the nucleus of the family. She enjoyed family gatherings and especially her many grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, William Giller, mother, Virginia Giller Lott, daughters; Roberta Ann Maguire, and Karen Horn, son, Robert Maguire, Jr., brothers; William, Robert, and James Giller, sisters; Isabelle Serrano, Cindy Dixon, and Judy Bartley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 12-1:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:15 pm, Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Green Hill Cemetery, VanBurensburg, IL.
Betty is survived by her daughters; Sharon Maguire of Springfield, IL, and Colleen Jones of Carlinville, IL, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the family.
