She managed a household of seven children with remarkable resourcefulness, and her vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Known for her incredible sense of humor, she was a bubbly presence at any gathering, always bringing joy and light-heartedness to those around her. Her social nature and love for engaging with others were complemented by her passions for bowling, pingpong, badminton, and cards, which fostered connections within her community.
Betty leaves behind her loving children, Barbara (Warren) Johnsen, Linda (John) Hoxie, Judy (Jeff) Conklin, James Miller, and Thomas Miller. She was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Elaine Curran of Australia also survives her.
Betty is reunited in spirit with her late husband, Ballard Miller, as well as her children, Jean Tyler and John Miller, and granddaughter, Dana Eaves.
There will be a private burial held at the family's convenience. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date to be determined.
Betty's family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the unmistakable love and wonderful care given to Betty by the staff at the New York State Veterans Home over the past five years.
