Betty June Rathmann, age 95, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 9:38 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Mt. Vernon Place Care Center. She was born June 4, 1930, in Dade County, Missouri, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth (Butterworth) Snadon.

Betty was a 1947 graduate of Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Missouri and attended Business College in Springfield, Missouri for two years. She worked as a seamstress for Anderson Uniforms in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

On July 3, 1952, she married Thomas Henry Rathmann, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2005.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Elaine Spradling of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; three sons, Jack Rathmann and his wife, Celia, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Tom Rathmann and his wife, Carla, of Battlefield, Missouri and John Rathmann and his wife, Connie, of Neosho, Missouri; her daughter-in-law, Lynna Rathmann of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary; her husband, Thomas; two sons, Robert (Butch) Rathmann and Gene Saffeels; one grandson, Danny Saffeels, and her sister, Annice Martin.

A graveside service under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Pennsboro Cemetery, north of Miller, Missouri.
