Joel Runkle Obituary
Henderson, NV – Joel Runkle, 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. Born on May 10, 1965, in Las Vegas, NV, Joel was the son of Robert and Una Runkle.
A lifelong resident of the Las Vegas Valley, Joel proudly served in the U.S. Army after graduating high school. He later became a skilled carpenter, generously sharing his talents to help friends and family with home renovations. Joel found joy in life’s simple pleasures—floating on the river, fishing, cheering on Las Vegas sports teams, and spending time at home with loved ones.
On October 4, 1998, Joel married the love of his life, Jacquelyn Herrera, in Las Vegas. He is survived by Jacquelyn and their daughter, Alexa, both of Henderson, NV; his mother, Una (Kellar) Runkle of Logandale, NV; his sister, Bobbi (Kevin) Chandler of Logandale, NV; his brothers, Michael (Maria) Runkle and Randall (Lisa) Runkle of Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Runkle.
A memorial service will be held at12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 University Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
