Beverly Loomis, 91, of Oshkosh, Nebraska went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 3, 2025.
Beverly was born on September 7, 1933, to Johnny and Edith (Orr) McCall in Lewellen, NE. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She remained in the area where she attended Lewellen Grade School and later graduating from Lewellen High School in 1947.
After high school, Beverly attended nursing school in Scottsbluff where she received her RN degree and later received her RHIT (Registered Health Information Technology) degree.
On April 30, 1955, Beverly married Dorwin Loomis of Oshkosh. In their union, they were blessed with two children, son Chuck and daughter, Laurie. They lived on their family ranch north of Oshkosh.
Beverly was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, doing her crosswords and tending to her beautiful yard. Most of all, Beverly cherished her time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Beverly was a loving mother to her son Chuck (Nancy) Loomis of Oshkosh; daughter Laurie Canning of Lemoyne; grandchildren Chris Loomis and Nicole Loomis of Oshkosh; Matt (Shannon) Loomis of Oshkosh; Nick Loomis of Oshkosh; Brian (Tara) Canning of Ogallala; Hagen Gager of Lemoyne; great grandchildren Chanley, Tilee & Brantly Loomis; Lacy, Conner, Cole & Callie Loomis; Burklee, Braxon, Bodie and Baylee Canning; sister-in-law Patty Barrett and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dorwin, her parents, grandparents, sisters Delores Branch & Vivian Kallsen; brother-in-law's Tex Branch, Vern Kallsen and Bob Barrett; son-in-law “Bronco” Gager and niece Jeanie Kallsen.
To honor Beverly’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to celebrate Beverly’s life in your own way. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials can be made to Oshkosh Library, Garden County Health Services or the Garden County Fire Department.
