Beverly Fussy, age 87, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 27, 2025, in Crosslake, MN.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. A lunch will be served following Mass. A private family burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Beverly was born on July 2, 1938, in Benton County, MN to Stephen and Helen Chmielewski. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many.

Bev dedicated much of her life to education as a longtime teacher and later found joy in helping others as a Real Estate Broker with LakePlace Realty in Crosslake. She loved the Crosslake area deeply and was an avid gardener and an active member of her church and community.

She is survived by her children: Kent Fussy, Debra (Kevin) Fuechtmann, John (Ellen) Fussy, Wayne (Tisa) Fussy, Dawn (Greg) Kurr, and Perry Fussy; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Gene Chmielewski and Steven Jr. ‘Butch’ Chmielewski (Roxie).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard Fussy, her parents, her grandson Dustin Fussy, and her brother LeRoy Chmielewski.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
