Beverly Mayer Obituary

Beverly Marion (Eno) Mayer, 86, of Medway, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of William K. Mayer since 2002.
Born in Boston on May 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Angie (Covey) Eno.
Beverly grew up in Dorchester and resided in Dedham for several years until moving to Medway 25 years ago. She worked as a security officer for many years at various retail stores including Sears and Roebuck, Bloomingdales, Child World, and Henri Bendel. She had also worked as one of the security officers for Kevin Costner while he was filming the movie, Field of Dreams.
Beverly had volunteered at Norwood Hospital and for the Medway School System. She loved her dogs, Mandy, Snoopy, Lady, Max, Sophie, Cody, and Cory. She enjoyed painting, puzzle books, travelling, and camping.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her first husband, Ronald James Gilmore Sr., and their children, Rhonda McMahon and her husband Charles of Pembroke, NH, Ronald Gilmore Jr. and his partner Rita Woodard of Bluffton, SC. Lynne Christopher and her husband Richard of Franklin, MA, William Gilmore of Medway MA, and William "Skip" Mayer and his wife Jen of Athol, MA. And the late Christopher Mayer.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Erin, Paul, Nicholas, Madelynn, Katelyn, Melanie, Richard Jr., Evan, Olivia, and her many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Ellen Evju, Angie C. Harrington, Henry Eno, Leon Eno, Sylvia Kougias, and Evelyn Eno.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 9th at St. Joseph Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Canton.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 8th from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway
