William "Bill" Fredrick Holley, a longtime resident of Elsie, died on July 14, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on March 1, 1941, in St. Johns, Bill was born to William Floyd and Vera (Schavey) Holley.

A 1959 graduate from Rodney B. Wilson High School, Bill cherished the lifelong friendships he made there, meeting monthly with classmates for decades. He attended Lansing Community College and MSU and enjoyed a long career as a real estate appraiser. After retiring from appraisal work, he enjoyed a second career in marketing for big box stores.

On May 21, 1966, Bill married the love of his life, Dee Holley. Together they shared fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage until her passing in 2024. Their life together was marked by devotion and a deep love for family and community. Bill was an active member of the community. He served as a 4-H leader for many years, enjoyed gardening, was a proud member of Masonic Lodge #238 in Elsie, and a faithful attendee of Duplain Church of Christ and Vestaburg Church of Christ.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Holley and David (Sandra) Holley; grandchildren, Callum, Emma, Steven (Kassi), Michael (Kelly), Rebekah, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Ivey, Karter, Karsin, Kyler, Kynlee, Natalia, Neila, Skylar and Willow. He is also survived by his siblings, Larry (Diana) Holley, Scott (Tina) Holley, Darlene Lynn, Becky (Robert) Glaza, Lori (Fred) Nehring, Barb (Ken) Brandle; step-mother, Alice Holley Winter; sister-in-law, Rita (John) Craig; brothers-in-law, Kam (Kathleen) Washburn and Dan (Pam) Washburn, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Holley; father, William Holley; mother, Vera Holley and sister, Marion Holley.

A Funeral Service will be held at Duplain Church of Christ, 5565 E Colony Rd, St Johns on Monday, July 21, 2025, 11 AM, with visitation beginning at the church at 9:30 AM. Burial Duplain Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the church.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Capital Area Humane Society.
