Billy Frazier, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 2, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on September 11, 1950, in Yazoo City, he lived a life rich in love, family, and community.

Billy was devoted to his wife, Karen Brownlee Frazier, with whom he shared a profound bond for twenty-five years. He cherished his five children, Billy D. Frazier, Danny Frazier, Ricky Frazier, Homer Carl Traxler III, and John M. Traxler, nurturing them with unwavering love and support. As a grandfather, he took great pride in his twenty grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, delighting in their achievements and joys as a loving patriarch.

Billy’s spirit was deeply shaped by his service to his country in the US Army, reflecting a commitment to honor and duty that marked all aspects of his life. He enjoyed the simple pleasures, often found fishing or hunting, and was known for his joyful steps on the dance floor with his wife, creating cherished memories throughout their years together.

He is survived by his beloved wife, children, siblings, Richard Griffith, and Marie Williams,  brother-in-laws, Robbie Brownlee, sister-in-law, Rachael Brownlee, along with a large extended family that will carry on his legacy of love.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Lillian Jackson, as well as by his brothers Steve Jackson and Fred Jackson, and sisters Shirley Leist and Janett Valentine. Their memories remain a part of his story, remembered fondly by those who knew him.

A visitation for Billy will be held on August 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the Morton United Pentecostal Church, located at 6222 US-80, Morton, MS 39117. Family and friends are invited to come and pay their respects to a man whose life touched so many.

Billy Frazier will be remembered not only for his dedication to family and country but also for the warmth and kindness he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives of his family and all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
