Obituary published on Legacy.com by S.M. Goodson Funeral Homes and Crematory - Talladega on Aug. 14, 2025.
Born on October 21, 1949, in
Talladega, Alabama, to the loving union of Ernest White, Sr. and Mary Carter White, Bobbie's life was a radiant tapestry woven with threads of love, family, and faith. From a young age, Bobbie embraced Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior while attending Sycamore Baptist Church, laying the foundation for a life dedicated to nurturing her family and community. Educated in the Talladega County School System, and a graduate of Talladega County Training School (TCTS), it was clear early on that she possessed the heart of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. To know Bobbie was to know warmth, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those she cherished. A true domestic engineer, she poured her heart into her family, ensuring that every moment spent together was filled with joy and love. Bobbie was a woman of strength and spirit, known for her outspoken nature and her ability to express herself with remarkable clarity. She played an integral role in the upbringing of her siblings and nurtured countless grandchildren, imbuing them all with her unwavering support and wisdom. Her home was a sanctuary filled with the aroma of her delicious soul food meals, a testament to her culinary skills and the love she poured into every dish. In her leisure time, Bobbie enjoyed relaxing with the sounds of Chris Brown, losing herself in the thrill of pressing her luck with the slot machines, and watching her favorite television shows. As a devoted reader, she found comfort in the pages of Watch Tower books and the teachings of the Key of David. On Wednesday evening, August 13, 2025, after God had graciously blessed and given Mrs. Bobbie Nell White Kirksey to us for seventy-five long earthly years, Bobbie closed her eyes for the final time and was welcomed into her eternal home by her beloved parents, Ernest and Mary White, her son, Kenneth Kirksey, and her brothers, Ernest White, Jr. and William White. While we deeply mourn her passing, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind-a legacy set against the backdrop of laughter, kindness, and an unyielding spirit.
