Bobby Rogers Obituary

A celebration of the life of Bobby Rogers, 47, of Athens, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
Bobby passed away on July 1, 2025, in Athens.
Bobby James Rogers was born on June 23, 1978, in Athens, Texas, to Bobby Joe Rogers and Carolyn Maxine (Morgan) Rogers. He graduated from Cross Roads High School in 1996 and worked at Solar Turbines for 15 years. Most recently, he served as a supervisor with Kaufman County for the last five years. Bobby took pride in working alongside his father in the family contracting business, Bobby Rogers Subcontracting. Known for his ability to fix anything, Bobby was a hard worker who would do whatever it took to provide for his family. Bobby had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing pool, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful Dad and will be remembered for his selflessness, always willing to help anyone, no matter the time of day or night.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his children, Courtney Rogers of Malakoff, Brennan Rogers of Athens, Baileigh Rogers and Christopher Ramirez of Jacksonville, and Zoe Rogers of Athens; his brother, David Hodges and wife Jackie of Athens; his grandchildren, Chloe Rogers, Stetson Rogers, Emori Ramirez, and Nacho Ramirez; and his nieces, Maci Hodges and Sadi Hodges.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home family.
