The Graveside Service for Mr. Bobby Sims of Plains, Georgia will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Plains, Georgia.
Our Uncle Bobby Sims was born on October 26, 1945, to the late Will Sims and the late Mrs. Ethel Lee Battle Sims of Plains, Georgia. He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. He joined The Christian Outreach Center under Bishop Harvey Claiborne and Bishop Johnny Evans in 1987. Uncle Bobby worked for Davidson Rubber Company, and later he worked as an electrician with Williams Electric Company.
On Sunday, July 6, 2025, Our Uncle Bobby was called to Eternal Life. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Mr. Robert Sims, Mr. Henry Sims, Mr. Johnny Sims, and Mr. Clyde Sims; and two sisters: Mrs. Julia P. Burton and Mrs. Dorothy Sims Perry.
Our Uncle Bobby leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Mr. Jerry Sims of Plains, Georgia; two sisters-in law: Mrs. Katie Sims of Madison, Georgia and Mrs. Doris Sims of Americus, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Mr. Benny Perry of Plains, Georgia. He leaves an abundance of LOVE from all his nieces and nephews who overflowed his life with happiness; many other relatives and friends also survive. Mr. Curtis Evans, Mr. Rob Chambliss, Mr. Lawrence Marshall, Mr. James Marshall, and his neighbor, Mr. Jerry Roberts are among the many friends who would stop by to talk with Our Uncle Bobby. Other special friends: Mr. Michael Dominique, Mr. Al Williams, Mr. Henry Evans, Mrs. Jan Williams, Mr. Alonza Davis, Mr. Frank Williams, and Mr. Derick Henry also survive.
