Bobbye Fay Bond Marble passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the care of St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi at 11:25 pm on June 9, 1947. She graduated from Kosciusko High School in 1965. Following high school, she attended cosmetology school in Natchez, Mississippi. She held a lifetime license from the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology. She married Daniel James Marble on October 13, 1969. Bobbye owned and worked at The Carriage Salon in Vicksburg, Mississippi until she retired in 2021. She was 78 years old at the time of her passing.
Bobbye and Dan attended services and were active members of Triumph Church in Vicksburg, MS. Even though they moved to Gardens of Somerset in Monroe, Louisiana, she was a faithful follower of Triumph Church via online services. Bobbye also attended weekly Bible studies and virtual services presented by North Monroe Baptist Church while living at Gardens of Somerset. Her graveside service will be officiated by pastor Mike Fields.
Bobbye is best remembered for her bubbly personality, love of Jesus, and her willingness to help others. She enjoyed traveling, tending her flower beds, supporting local events and small businesses, visiting relatives, and watching mysteries on t.v.
She is preceded by her husband of 55 years, Daniel James Marble. She is also preceded by her brother, Jimmy Bond (Margaret Bond); sister, Charlotte Tolleson (James Tolleson); and her parents, Ira and Mary Bond. She is survived by her sons, Barry Marble (Amy Hampton Marble) and Brian Marble (Chyna Bailey Marble); three grandchildren, Bailey Daniel Marble, Kennedy Eileen Marble, and William Hampton Marble; three sisters, Emma Herring (Fred Herring), Sue Goldman (Durwood Goldman) and Elizabeth Foy (Ray Foy); and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the following for their care, love, and support: Gardens of Somerset staff and residences, Ridgecrest Community Care Center, and St. Francis Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at St. Alban Episcopal Church in Vicksburg, MS on July 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s of Mississippi Hospital-Blair E. Batson Tower, or church ministries.
