Bonnie Caulfield Obituary

Published by Legacy from Jul. 10 to Jul. 11, 2025.
In loving memory, Bonnie Cherrill Caulfield, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, in her daughter's home in Cañon City, Colorado, where she was currently living. After a life devoted to faith, family, and kindness, she entered into eternal rest and the loving arms of her Creator.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Mathew Caulfield; Bonnie is survived by her five children, Cherrill S. Davidson, Cynthia L. Utter, Sandra K. Caulfield, Daniel P. Caulfield, and Bonnie S. Lowderback; along with 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one more great-granddaughter expected in September, whom she was joyfully awaiting.

Bonnie's final days were spent in her peaceful bedroom filled with comfort and memories. A digital picture frame rotated thousands of family photos and images from her genealogy work, while her favorite knickknacks surrounded her. Her days were brightened by the animals she loved, including a cockatoo named Charlie, lots of pugs, a cat named Patches, goats, pigs, chickens and many others who brought her joy.

Known for her kind heart, unwavering positive attitude, and ability to make friends wherever she went, Bonnie had a special gift for making others feel seen and loved. She shared her warmth through handwritten letters; sent to family and friends, bringing encouragement and hope. She found joy in traveling, scrapbooking, studying family history, picture taking, shopping online for gifts, and donating generously to organizations she believed in.

Though she suffered a stroke three weeks before her passing that limited her mobility, Bonnie's unwavering desire to remain close to her family was a reflection of the deep love she carried throughout her life. Her grace, courage, and quiet strength were a blessing to all who knew her.

Bonnie's legacy is one of love, faith, and service. She leaves behind a family deeply enriched by her presence. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and held in God's eternal embrace.

A service and reception celebrating Bonnie's life will be held in the fall. Details to follow on her Facebook page.
