Bonnie Jean Stockford, age 71 of Coldwater, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born February 22, 1953, in Jackson to Curtis and Elaine (VanEpps) Holt. She married Gary Stockford, and he preceded her in death.
Bonnie attended Vandercook Lake Schools and spent many dedicated years at Quincy Products. She was also a former manager of several motels in Florida and waited tables at the Quincy Diner. Bonnie was extremely proud of her southern roots, as her father grew up in the foothills of Kentucky. She loved to shop for gifts for her sons and grandsons. Bonnie also enjoyed trips to the casino with her family and friends and usually needed some extra convincing when it was time to leave.
Survivors include two sons, Dax and Curtis Stockford, both of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Vincent, Tristan and Bram Stockford, all of Coldwater; siblings, DeeAnn (Rex) Monroe of Quincy and Larry (Carol) Holt of Lakeland, FL; nephews, Larry Beebe of Kentucky and Chris (Liz) Monroe of Ray Twp., MI; nieces, Amber Monroe of Platteville, WI, Michelle (Greg) Caffee of Florida and Tina Holt of Florida; special aunt, Arlene Tousley of Jackson; uncle, Albert Tousley of Jackson; brother-in-law, Stanley Smith of Kentucky; and many cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; sister, Dianne Smith; step-father, Frank Quimby; and step-mother, Mary Holt.
A graveside service for Bonnie Stockford, SGM Gary Stockford and Dianne Smith will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy with Pastor Kim Cole officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
