White - Bonnie L. White, age 85, of Callahan, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on July 4, 2025. She was born on February 29, 1940, in Marmet, West Virginia, to the late Ben Canterbury and Lotte Hawkins Canterbury. Bonnie's faith played a central role throughout her life. She was a pastor for over 10 years and loved her Lord and Savior. As a dedicated churchgoer, Bonnie not only attended services faithfully but also contributed her musical talents to worship. Bonnie sang with heartfelt devotion and played multiple instruments during church gatherings. Her life was rooted in faith, family, and a deep love for music and cooking; passions that brought joy to those around her and created lasting memories for generations. Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cherished every moment spent with her family. Her home was often filled with the comforting aromas of her cooking and the warmth of shared laughter. Bonnie found great joy in preparing meals for loved ones. Her legacy is one of love expressed through service; whether through a home-cooked meal, a song lifted in praise, or time spent with those she held dear. Bonnie's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Lotte Canterbury; daughter, Rhonda Strickland; and granddaughter, Michelle Mosakowski.
Bonnie leaves behind her daughter, Debbie (Charlie) May; son, Oscar (Kathi) Flynn; grandchildren, Melissa Foureau, Arte Thornton, Lisa Flynn, and Gregory Flynn; 1 brother; 1 sister; 4 step-grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie May officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
