Bradley Hansen, 66, of Mina, SD, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, July 6, 2025, after a 10-month battle with cancer.
Brad's wishes were to be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m. at his home, 425 Nesbit Drive, Mina, SD 57451.
Memorials can be sent to 425 Nesbit Drive, Mina, SD, 57451.
Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com.
Brad was born to Joe and Betty Hansen on February 12, 1959. Growing up on the family farm near Mina, Brad worked side by side with his father, learning the ins and outs of farming, ranching, crop spraying, barn painting, shingling, and many other skills used later in life.
Brad enjoyed snowmobiling, dirt biking, baseball, hunting, and much more.
Brad graduated from Aberdeen Central in 1978. While in school, he worked on Tuesdays at the West Sale Barn, where he met lifelong friends.
In 1981 Brad ventured off from the Farm moving to Denver, CO, where he worked at SD Cement Plant, Wright Construction, and finished his career building cell towers across western America.
In 2004, Brad married the love of his life, Laura (Carolus) (Love Dart), and became an instant father to her two boys. They enjoyed camping, skiing water and snow, and loved the mountains.
In April 2024, Brad retired and moved to South Dakota, where he settled in at Mina in the earth home his parents had built.
Grateful for having shared Brad's life is his wife, Laura; two stepsons, Taylor Saiz of FL, and Connor Saiz of CO; siblings, Gary (Boni) Albrecht of Walker, MN, Diane (Alex) Schaeffer of Aberdeen, SD, Wayne (Janice) Hansen of Aberdeen, SD, Ken Hansen of Bottineau, ND; and several grandchildren.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Betty Hansen; and his father-in-law, Hank Carolus.
The family would like to thank their neighbors on Nesbit Drive for their love and care during this difficult time.
