Bradley Learn, age 70, of Arlington, SD, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Prairie Lakes Hospital. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Hank Roso will officiate.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Friday from 12-1 p.m.
Burial will at Lake Poinsett Cemetery in Lake Poinsett, SD.
On July 5, we lost a brother, uncle, cousin, a good buddy, brother-in-law and a legend. Those who knew Brad know he was someone who cared deeply, gave generously, and lived the life of a free spirit. Brad recently turned 70. If a cat has nine lives, Brad lived at least 12 during that time. He had fun, experiencing life to its fullest and sharing a laugh that will be remembered by many.
Brad moved to Watertown, South Dakota, at the age of 12. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, as a young adult. It was there that he began his upholstery business, married, and had his daughter, Janna. He spent a few years in Idaho before returning to South Dakota. He eventually called Lake Poinsett home, where he had many friends. Perhaps his best friends were his dogs, as he was often accompanied by a black lab named Billie.
Brad loved sweets and always enjoyed his macaroni and cheese!
Brad's wit and humor will be deeply missed by many including his surviving sisters Kathe Sherrill, Pam (Ed) Dorneman, and Dale (Ted) Bayda, his nephews and nieces and their children, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends across the United States.
Brad was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Janna Learn and his mother Donna Learn, next to whom he will be laid to rest. He is also preceded in death by his father Don Learn and his brother-in-law Gary Sherrill.
The family encourages Brad's friends to drive their hot rods and share their favorite stories at the service. To honor Brad's memory and his wishes, please consider making a donation to your local Children's Hospital, Humane Society, or another charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel of Watertown and Hayti.
