Brandon Christopher Smith, age 36, of Johnson County, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Savannah. A graveside funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, July 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverends Jerry Pickard and Keith Lewis will officiate.

Brandon was born in Augusta and reared in Washington County. He attended Washington County Public Schools and graduated from Washington County High School Class of 2007. Brandon excelled in Hawks Baseball. He worked as a core driller, in the Kaolin Industry for Logan Drilling, until becoming disabled due to an accident. Brandon was an avid news watcher and Trump supporter. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. Brandon enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting, especially hog hunting. Riding motorcycles was another one of his joys. His greatest joy and the apple of his eye was his daughter Emersyn Smith.

Survivors include his daughter Emersyn Smith of Wrightsville; his sister Taylor Hutcheson and her husband Ethan of Tennille; his parents Emory Christopher Smith and Lisa Michelle Phillips both of Sandersville; aunts, Jean Smith and her husband Rusty of Sandersville and Robin Oliver and her husband Bruce of Wrightsville; uncle, Clay Smith and his wife Grace of Sandersville; cousins Ryan Smith and his wife Ally, Brittany Mihok and her husband Frankie, Shawn Smith and his wife Cynthia; niece and nephew Nevaeh Hutcheson and Jace Hutcheson and his aunt Carol Anderson of Sandersville.
