GARCIA Brendenisse Cervantez Garcia, affectionately know as Brenda, age 50, of Benavides, Texas passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2025, leaving a legacy of love and compassion. A devoted mother, daughter, niece and friend to many, Brenda's vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Born with numerous health challenges, Brenda faced life with unwavering courage and determination. Despite her physical hardships, she poured her heart into her work as an educator, dedicating many years to nurturing and inspiring young minds. Brenda was a proud 1993 graduate from Benavides High School. She continued her post-secondary education at Texas A & M University- Kingsville, earning both her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and her Master of Science in School Counseling. She was preceded in death by her beloved maternal grandparents, Maurlcio and Elda Cervantes, and two cherished uncles, George Cervantes and Robert Gonzalez, whose memories she held close to her heart. Brenda is survived by her two precious daughters, Abrie Grace Garcia and Abbey Le Garcia of Benavides, Texas, who were her greatest pride and joy; her loving mother, Leticia Cervantes of Benavides, Texas, and her uncle, Mark Cervantes of McKinney, Texas; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and a host of friends who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her father, Joel Gonzalez of Alice, Texas, and the father of her children, Joey Garcia of Freer, Texas. Brenda's passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of all who knew her. In her final act of selflessness. Brenda gave the ultimate gift – donating her organs to save and improve the lives of others. Her heart will continue to beat in another; her lungs will bring life to others- a living testament to the love she so freely shared. Though she may be gone from this earth, Brenda's light will continue to shine through her daughters and in all those who carry a piece of her with them. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Garza Funeral Home in
San Diego, Texas, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Benavides, Texas. Services will conclude at the church. Private family burial service will take place at a later date.
