Glenn Anderson Sr., 87, of Brick, New Jersey peacefully passed away on February 16th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Glenn graduated from Union High School, where he met the love of his life, June (Poole). He continued his education at Upsala College.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel (Hilton) and Karl Albert Anderson and his wife of 62 years, June. He was a devoted father to his 3 children, Glenn (Lisa), Denise (Brett) and Lori, as well as a wonderful grandfather and great grandfather to Brian, Kyle, Anna, Quintin, Scarlett and Stella.
Dad was employed by the Singer Sewing Machine Company at 20 years old and upon his retirement founded Anchor Sewing. He repaired sewing machines until the day he joined June in Heaven.
Glenn was very proud of his service for the Pierce Hose Company 3 in Middlesex, New Jersey and achieved the rank of Captain.
The family has asked us to cancel the Memorial Service on Monday, February 23rd, at Colonial Funeral Home due to inclimate weather. Services will be updated at a later time.
We have been blessed to call him Dad. He was a fine and honorable man and everything we have become is because of him. He will be missed immeasurably.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Pierce Fire Company (416 A Street Middlesex, New Jersey 08846) or Tunnel to Towers Foundation (2361 Hyman Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306 or visit http://www.t2t.org are requested.

I just found out about Glenn's passing. I was one of Glenn's customers. My sister and I would always bring him cookies (ginger snaps) when we brought our sewing machines to him. Glenn was not only a genius at fixing the machines, but he was also one of the nicest people we have met. Our deepest condolences.

Glen was a lovely gentleman. My heart is sad. He repaired my sewing machine several times. He was always pleasant, friendly, and honest. He loved his ginger snaps. I actually have a box with this name on it and was going to give it to him next time I saw him.
RIP Glen. It was an honor to know you.

My husband, William F Gould, jr passed away last year on March 16 so I know how you are all feeling. Bill was engineer for HC Pierce during the 40 years he served there. I pray you will all be comforted by the loving man your Dad was. God bless you all. Lucille Gould
