Brenda K. Knauer of Leaf River, formerly of Warren, IL, passed away on July 3, 2025. Brenda was born in Freeport, IL on April 2, 1960, to Delbert and Imogene (Wand) Kent. She was a graduate of Warren High School. She married David Knauer on February 27, 1982, in Schapville, IL and together they raised Charles and Chad.
Brenda enjoyed cooking, canning, baking birthday and wedding cakes. She loved animals, especially her beloved dogs and cats. You could find her in her garden and enjoying the great outdoors. No one was a stranger to her; she loved getting to talk with people she would meet. She also would look forward to getting to visit with her family, friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her son Charles ( Taylor) Knauer of Wiota, WI; sisters- Linda Kent and Kathy (Todd) Sargent of Warren, IL; brothers- Larki Kent of Warren, IL, Hoss (Becky) Kent of Shullsburg, WI, and Alan "Pood" (Rhonda) Kent of Warren, IL; daughter-in-law Megan Knauer of Shullsburg, WI; sister-in-law Linda (Richard) Lyons of Kent, IL; Grandchildren- Colbie Knauer of Wiota, WI, Maverick Beebe and Letty Knauer of Shullsburg, WI and Dalton Fogel of Lena, IL; boyfriend Dean August of Leaf River, IL; step-son Brian (Renee) Busch and step-grandchildren Deegan and Jayden Busch all of Scales Mound, IL as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband David Knauer and son Chad Knauer, parents Delbert and Imogene, mother-in-law Lydia Mae Knauer, brother-in-law Ronnie and Kenneth Knauer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 2:00- 5:00pm at the Pecatonica Tap House in Warren, IL.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
