Brenden Hart Obituary

Brenden P. Hart  of Peachtree City, GA, 41, died on July 16, 2025 after a long, courageous, and hard-fought health battle. Loving husband of Lisa (Kelly) Hart originally of Quincy, MA. Devoted father of Elizabeth K. Hart and Michael P. Hart. Cherished son of Maria T. Hart of Plymouth, MA.

Brenden was raised in Taunton, MA and was a 2002 graduate of Coyle & Cassidy High School, where he played football and baseball. He attended Northeastern University earning a degree in political science and enlisted upon graduation. Brenden was a proud United States Army Veteran. He served as a medic in the 82nd Airborne Division, as well as at the U.S. Army Medical Center in Vicenza, Italy. Throughout his military career, Brenden earned the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Achievement Medals and he was awarded the Combat Medical Badge and a Purple Heart.

Following his years of military service, Brenden’s desire and dedication to help others continued. During a global pandemic and with two young children at home, Brenden earned his nursing degree from Emory University and became a registered nurse in Georgia.

Brenden was passionate about serving and recognizing his fellow veterans. He gave his time generously, speaking to nursing students at Emory University about his experiences, hoping to build understanding and empathy for patients at the VA. He played a key role in having Peachtree City recognized as a Purple Heart Community—a lasting tribute that now welcomes all who enter the town, and offers his family a quiet reminder of him with every passing glance. One of the things Brenden looked forward to most each year was the Veteran’s Day celebrations at his children’s schools, where pride and fatherhood intertwined.

Above all else, Brenden was a devoted dad. His greatest joy was being with his children—his favorite people in the world. Brenden was a big kid at heart. He always enjoyed amusement parks, lighting up at the chance to ride roller coasters with Elizabeth or challenge Michael at every arcade game he could find. He loved their golf cart rides around Peachtree City to get ice cream, belting out Disney and Glee songs from his signature orange Jeep with the top down, and Friday nights filled with pizza, movies, and laughter. He cheered the loudest at every game, every recital, and every moment they shared. Brenden loved with his whole heart, and his pride in his children knew no bounds.

Brenden and Lisa met in Boston while attending college, and they supported each other over their more than 15 years of marriage. They enjoyed two opportunities to live in Europe, where they traveled together to many countries and shared adventures and mishaps that they always remembered fondly. Some of their best memories together include running the Berlin Marathon, skiing in Italy, and welcoming both their children abroad. Despite being New Englanders at heart, they were proud of the life and home they made in Peachtree City, but always cheered on Boston sports teams from afar and visited family and friends whenever they could.

Brenden’s legacy extends beyond his immediate family. He is lovingly survived by his aunts, Kathleen Farley and her husband, Glen, of Middleborough, MA, and Karen Wooley of Sagamore Beach, MA. He was predeceased by his uncle, Kevin Hart, and his maternal grandparents, Otis and Teresa Hart. He is also remembered lovingly by his in-laws, Thomas and Mary Kelly of Quincy, MA, as well as by his brother in-law and sister in-law and their families, who will remember him fondly as “Uncle B”. Brenden also leaves behind many cousins and dear friends who were all touched by his presence.

In lieu of flowers or donations, please consider adopting a family throughout the year or being generous with a giving tree during the holiday season. Brenden was known to gather as many tags as he could from these trees, and it brought him great joy and happiness to fulfill children’s wishes. He was deeply passionate about these projects and his generosity will forever inspire his family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, August 28th from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery on Friday, August 29th at 11:30 am. For all those wishing to attend the burial - you will need to be at the cemetery by 11:15am and line up in the designated lane reserved for Brenden Hart.
