Brian Patrick Barry, 45, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on July 8, 2025. He was born on October 11, 1979, in Albany, Missouri, to Stephen Eugene Barry and Jacqueline Rene Shackelford.
Brian had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was casting a line into the water, sitting quietly in the woods during a hunt, or gathered around a campfire on a family camping trip, he found peace and purpose in nature. Those who knew him will remember his easygoing spirit, his love for his children, and the way he always felt most at home under an open sky.
He is survived by his children, Trevor Barry of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Emma and Sydney Barry, both of Holts Summit, Missouri; his father, Stephen Barry of St. Joseph, Missouri; and stepmother, Cynthia Barry of Union Star, Missouri. He also leaves behind his siblings: Melissa Scheulen (Daniel) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Dustin Kelly of Ashland, Missouri, and Cody Kelly (Nikki) of Jefferson City, Missouri; along with four nieces and four nephews who brought joy to his life.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Bailey; grandparents Ed and Cecilia Barry; and grandparents Francis and Lyle Shackelford.
A private family service will be held at a later date. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the quiet, peaceful places he held dear.
