Brian Keith Milam, age 68, entered his heavenly home on Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1956, in Bakersfield, California, to R.D. Milam and Elaine (Spohn) Rozar.
Brian was a hardworking and capable man. Throughout the years, he worked in the oilfield, construction, and maintenance-always known for his reliability and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Brian found peace in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, panning for gold, and the excitement of racing. Time spent with loved ones was important to him, and he treasured moments shared during family game nights.
Brian was a man of few words, but with his unique sense of humor, he was always quick to deliver a favorite one-liner, accompanied by an ornery twinkle in his eye. He showed his love through simple gifts-a favorite snack, a small trinket, or a toy-quietly expecting nothing more than a hug in return. He was a proud father and grandfather, often pulling out his phone to show pictures of his daughters, grandsons, and great-grandson to anyone willing to look. He also loved hunting for arrowheads and collecting uniquely shaped or colorful rocks, always finding beauty in the small treasures the earth had to offer. Though he never asked for much, he gave what he could of himself to the people he loved-and his quiet presence will be missed but never forgotten.
Brian is survived by his daughters, Sherami Talkington and husband James of Bakersfield, California; and Shelbi Newton and husband Brent of Alma, Arkansas. He was a proud grandfather to six grandsons-Dalton, Dylan, Devin, Conner, Carson, and Corbin-and one great-grandson, Jackson. He is also survived by his brothers, Garry Frizell and wife Connie; and Mark Rozar and wife Tracy; along with several nieces, cousins, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.D. Milam and Elaine Rozar, as well as his brother, Ronnie Frizell.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Sarah Grove Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas. Brother Ron Patrick and Pastor Tim Sullivan are to officiate. Services are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Brian will be remembered for his quiet strength, love for nature, and the deep devotion he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he leaves behind will be cherished forever.
