Brooke passed away on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at home with her family. Brooke had the most generous heart as anyone we ever knew. Brooke was born on January 19th, 1986 as the youngest daughter to Cliff and Lea Welsh. She loved little kids and worked with them for many years. She started working in St. Joseph, MO at a daycare called One Step Ahead Early Learning Center LLC from 2006 to 2011. Then in August of 2012 she started working at Precious Memories Child Care LLC in Bethany with her best friend until she passed doing what she loved. Brooke graduated from South Harrison in 2004 and graduated from Graceland University with her BA in Elementary Education in 2011. The one thing Brooke always wanted in life was to have a family. She spent many nights wondering if she would ever get that chance. While she waited for her chance to become a mom, she touched so many lives while working with the kids at daycare. Many of them started as babies and have grown into older kids now, but they always remember their "Brookie". She spoiled them, taught them, guided them, but most of all she loved them just like they were her own.
In 2019, Brooke decided to take her dream into her own hands and began fostering. It was at this time that she met Chloe and Aubrey. They were her dream kids and she couldn't wait for them to be in her everyday life. They would become her everything and eventually the children she always wanted. On February 4th, 2022, Chloe was adopted and on December 13th, 2022, Brooke took guardianship of Aubery. Brooke adored Chloe and Aubrey and built a home that was centered around love and family.
Brooke is survived by her children: Chloe Welsh & Aubrey Wynkoop; her parents, Lea and Cliffton Welsh (Bethany MO); her sister, Becky Creasey (Bethany MO); her brother, Ben & Brandi Brooke (Bethany MO); her nephew, Wyatt Creasey (Bethany MO); her niece, Emily Creasey (Bethany MO); her nephews, Kayden Brooke, Kayl Brooke, Taylor Brooke, & Rhett Brooke (Bethany MO); her nieces, Jessica & Jamie Tharp (Bethany MO); and many aunts, uncles, & friends that considered Brooke as a part of their family.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George & Mary Flint and Earl & Thelma Welsh; along with her precious nephew, Kolton Brooke.
Brooke has been cremated under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home. Her wishes were to have a private celebration of life with her family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials and contributions are suggested to her family or the HCCH Cancer Transportation Fund and can be mailed to Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424. Online condolences can be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
One thing that Brooke wanted everyone to know is that your life can be just a matter of minutes and you need to seek the Lord always because faith can move mountains. Her former pastor taught her to pray for God to bring her peace and that is what she got through this journey in life.
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like Eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
