Butch Miller, 83 of Herrick, Illinois died Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 5:30 PM at his residence in Herrick. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM
in Herrick Baptist Church, Herrick, Illinois with Pastor Jay Huddleston officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 14, 2025 also in Herrick Baptist Church from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Herrick Township, Shelby County, Illinois. Memorials in honor of Butch may be made to Family Intentions.
Wesley William Miller was born Monday, December 29, 1941 in Oconee, Illinois the son of Niles and Mary (maiden name Schaehrer) Miller. He was raised in Tower Hill, Illinois attending elementary and high school there. Butch Miller married Nancy Sue Henderson on August 13, 1960 in the Methodist Church in Pickneyville, Illinois. He was a UAW member and worked at Caterpillar in Decatur, Illinois for many years before retiring from there on May 1, 2002. Butch was also a longtime member of Herrick Baptist Church.
Butch Miller is survived by his Wife: Nancy Miller of Herrick, Illinois; Daughters: Amy Black (Barry) of Herrick and Julie Bushue (Dale) of Mason, Illinois;
Grandson: Brady Black (Kelli) of Herrick; Granddaughters: Harley Black of Herrick, Mikala Lindsay (Nick) of Dieterich, Illinois, and Mikenzi Bushue of Mason, Illinois; Great-Grandchildren: Ada, Everett, and Gwendolyn Black and Blake and John Lindsay, all at home; Brothers: Buck Miller (Kay) of Pana and Lee Miller of Oconee, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents.
