SUMMITVILLE, IN – C. Mark Stitt, 62, passed away peacefully at his parents' home early on Sunday, May 11, 2025, following a 3-year illness.
He was born on July 26, 1962, in Anderson to Harvey "Bud" and Sandy (Mitchener) Stitt and was a lifetime resident of Summitville. Mark was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School-Class of 1980. In his teen years, Mark worked for Indiana Tank Company, he later evolved with the company when it became S & S Tank. He retired from skilled trades as a machine repairman at Chrysler in Kokomo in 2022. He liked antiques and could always be found "working" on some project of "fixing" something. He liked Harleys and enjoyed football including the Indianapolis Colts. Mark was known to use his handyman skills to help family and friends alike.

Son-Jesse (Ashley) Stitt of Summitville
3 Grandchildren- Stephen, Keaten and Khloe
Parents- "Bud" and Sandy Stitt of Summitville
3 Brothers- Dale Stitt (Dixie) and Curt Stitt (Dee) all of Summitville, Phil Stitt (Cindy) of Kokomo
Mother and father-in-law-Dave and Peggy Kleiman of Alexandria
Several nieces, nephews and cousins
Mark was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Jo in 2014.
Services honoring Mark's life and legacy will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville with Mike Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville. The Stitt family will receive friends after 5 pm prior to the service [on Thursday in the funeral home.
