Calvin Sanders Barrino was born on December 9, 1959, in Union County, North Carolina, to Tommy Lynn Sanders and Odessa Huntley Barrino. He pursued his education in New York before eventually moving to Newark, New Jersey, where he met his wife Angela.
In his free time, Calvin enjoyed activities such as fishing, bowling, dancing, and spending quality moments with his family. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy and smiles to those around him.
Calvin Sanders Barrino peacefully passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, in New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Lynn Sanders and Odessa Huntley Barrino; his stepfather, Granger Barrino; three sisters: Norma Ann Barrino Jackson, Alice Evon Chambers, and Vanessa Mae Barrino McClendon; and his grandmother, Mittie Huntley of Cleveland, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Barrino, of Kearny, NJ; one brother, Johnny Barrino, of Monroe, NC; two aunts, Rachel Taylor of Cleveland, OH, and Minnie Applewhite of Detroit, MI; two nephews: Rico Barrino (Lanisha) and Shamar McClendon; three nieces: Shawntaye Barrino, Necole Barrino, and Natasha Barrino; one brother-in-law, Boyce McClendon; one special cousin, Kisha Brooks (Metro); and a multitude of great-nephews, great-nieces, and other family and friends who will cherish his memory.
