It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Candy Qualls, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, who entered into the loving arms of her Savior on 07/01/2025.

She was 74 years old. Candus "Candy" Qualls was born on May 15, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout her life, she exemplified the values of faith, love, and kindness. A devout Christian, she was a guiding light to all who knew her. Her deep faith and unwavering trust in God carried her through both the joyous and challenging times in her life. She was an active member of Riverview Gateway Church of the Nazarene for many years, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and generosity.

Married to her devoted husband, Earl Qualls Sr., for nearly 50 years, she shared a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they created a beautiful family and built a home grounded in love and faith. She will forever be remembered for her warm hugs, gentle spirit, and endless dedication to her loved ones.

In addition to her family, Candy had a special affection for her fur-babies who brought her much joy. She often spoke of them as her "four-legged children" and treated them with the same tenderness and care that she gave to her human family.

Her legacy will live on through the generations, as the values of love, faith, and kindness she instilled in them continue to guide their lives. Her love was unconditional, her kindness limitless, and her faith an anchor for all who knew her. She is preceded in death by Joseph and Frances Bauer (parents), Anthony Bauer (brother), Beverly Moon (sister) and Tonja Helton (daughter).

She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Qualls Sr., her children Tracy (Chris) Smith, Gary Helton, Earl Ray II (Tracey) Qualls and Alicia Qualls. Her grandchildren, Erika (Elliott) Purdy, Ashtyn Smith, Jacob and MaKenzy Qualls, her great-grandsons Jackson and Bennet Purdy, and her beloved pets June Bug and Vannamae, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She lived her life with grace, compassion, and joy, leaving behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Candy's life will be held at the Riverview Gateway Church of the Nazarene, 9622 Mathog Rd, Riverview, Florida. The service will begin at at 1pm. The family will meet with family and friends after the service. Snacks will be provided after the service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation be made to St. Jude's Children Research, a local animal shelter or a Christian based non-profit in her memory.
