It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cara Ann Nachbor, who left this world peacefully on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted mother, a cherished wife, a loving daughter, and a treasured sister — a beacon of warmth, compassion, and quiet strength to all who knew her.
Born on January 9th, in Morris, Cara grew up with a deep love for family and a spirit of generosity that defined her throughout her life. She dedicated herself to those she loved, always putting others first with kindness, grace, and unwavering support.
As a mother, she gave her heart and soul to her children, raising them with love, patience, and wisdom. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and inspiration, and her gentle guidance will live on in their hearts forever.
As a wife, Cara was a true partner and best friend, building a life of shared dreams, laughter, and enduring love. Her bond with her husband was one of mutual respect, deep affection, and unbreakable unity.
As a daughter and sister, she brought joy and light to her family, always offering a listening ear, a helping hand, or a shoulder to lean on. Her loyalty and compassion knew no bounds.
Cara's warmth extended beyond her family — she touched the lives of friends, neighbors, and even strangers with her kindness, her thoughtful words, and her beautiful smile. Her gentle heart and strong spirit were evident in all she did, but perhaps most beautifully in her calling as a nurse practitioner. She truly loved her work and treated each patient with dignity and empathy, offering not just care, but comfort. Her colleagues admired her, her patients trusted her, and her community was better for her presence in it.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; her children, Sean, Ethan (Tenley) , Brody & Teague; parents, Milton and Franchetta Haupert; her siblings, Scott (Amy) , Austin (Erica) , Maria (Andy) and John (Colleen) ; and many nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved dearly. Though her time with us was far too short, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will remain with us forever.
A celebration of Cara’s life will be held on June 27th at the Herman Community Center from 4-8pm. A private family funeral will be held in her honor.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
