Carl Chalfan, age 79 of Grove City, passed away to his Heavenly Home on Friday morning
July 4th, 2025. He was born on September 2nd, 1945 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late
Pearl and Harriett Chalfan. Carl was a husband, father, grandfather. business owner and
a veteran. Carl served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He graduated
from World Harvest Bible College. Carl owned and operated Allied towing for many years.
He retired from the City of Columbus as a Police Wrecker Operator. He loved his family and
was very proud of them. Carl always loved repairing and restoring old trucks. He also loved
flipping houses and taking something from nothing and making it new. Besides his parents,
Carl was preceded in death by his son, Greg Chalfan; siblings, Joe Chalfan, Patricia Bowe
and Mickey Chalfan. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Christine (Sollner) Chalfan;
son, Michael (Summer) Chalfan; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Michaela (Justin),
Dylan (Lily) and Zechariah; great grandchildren, Jace, Jayden, Sophia and Elias; numerous
nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A Memorial Gathering will be
on Friday, July 11th from 2 pm until 5 pm at the MYERS- WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME
587 Main Street in Groveport, OH. 43125. Family and friends are welcome to honor Carl's
life and memories.
