He was preceded in death by his parents, Eudorus Foy Donaldson, Mildred Elizabeth Donaldson, William Allison Donaldson and Jean Donaldson.

Left to mourn his absence is his loving wife, Karen Donaldson; his children, Carly and Antonio Maulini (daughter), Carl Jr. and Sadie Donaldson (son), Malcolm and Delores Donaldson (son), Peggy and Michael Breaux (daughter), Jillian Wales, Brandon Morrison, and Muki Mu Mu Sun, his beloved puppy child, best friend and companion; his brothers, William and Rose Donaldson and Jimbo Donaldson; his grandchildren, Laila Turner, Alyssa Sauerwin, Conner Sauerwin, Lillian Fisher, Millicent Maulini, Addison Donaldson, Myla Morgan, Elizabeth Jordan, Nicole Welch, Adriana Paige Breaux, Hunter Donaldson, Damon Donaldson, Dallas Donaldson, Kaitlyn Jones, Maddix Morrison, Madalyn Wales; great-grandchildren, Nora Turner and Dutton Elliot Donaldson.

Carl was a Gulf Coast native and Coast musician for over 50 years. His playing and singing brought joy to all who heard him. He was of Christian faith and found peace in the Lord. He led a full life and lived life on his own terms. He was hard working and remained very active until the very end. He was a loving, kind and selfless man who enjoyed fishing, gardening, plants, animals and carpentry. To know him was a great honor and privilege, he was a great story teller and he would always keep you laughing but told it to you straight. Knowing him made you a better person, his presence was huge and there will always be an empty place in this world without him. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life and memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Pass Christian, is honored to serve the Donaldson family.
