Carl Wayne Webb, 67, of Midlothian, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025. Born on October 25, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, Carl was the son of Carl Allen Webb and Eula Mae Kirksey. He grew up in Dallas and attended Sunset High School.
Carl's love for life, his family, and his community was evident throughout his many years. He married his beloved wife, Rita Faye Webb, on October 27, 1978, and together they raised two daughters-Amanda and Tonya-who brought him immeasurable joy. He was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Connor, Brittney, Ethan, Kaylin, Karlee, Jacob, Lily, Sadie, and William, who will carry on his legacy of warmth, laughter, and love.
In his career, Carl was known as the proud owner of Diamond Jims Saloon, where he built lifelong friendships and became a cherished figure in his community. He was also a passionate member of the Arlington Pool Association and enjoyed participating in Golden Gloves boxing in his younger years and won the Golden Gloves Championship. His competitive spirit, sense of humor, and love for a good challenge never waned. Carl found joy in many other hobbies, especially his Sunday trips with Rita to Choctaw. His easygoing nature and love for life made him a friend to all who knew him.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Allen Webb and Eula Mae Kirksey; his siblings, James Webb, Robert Avery, Grandmother Helen Webb, and his sister Janice Chism. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Webb; daughters, Amanda Harris and husband Keith, Tonya Cedillos and husband Jason, and Tanya Hayes and husband William; his grandchildren; brother, Joe Avery; sister, Judy Granado; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever miss his kind heart and infectious laugh.
Carl's family would like to thank the many friends and loved ones who have supported them during this time. A celebration of Carl's life will be held on January 25, 2025 at 1 in the afternoon at Midlothian Funeral Home. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Carl's memory.
Carl's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.
