Kathy Ellen Endress went home to the Lord on Saturday evening, October 4, 2025. She died peacefully at her residence in West Terre Haute.
She was born October 24, 1958, and was a 1977 graduate of West Vigo High School. She then attended Indiana State University where she was active in the Zeta Tau Alpha social sorority and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English. She continued her academic pursuits by obtaining a Master of Science in Mathematics (Indiana State University) and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction (Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis).
Kathy was a dedicated educator who positively influenced many high school students in advanced math before transitioning to a college-level teaching role at Indiana State University in 2015.
She cherished spending time with her family and would regularly be heard laughing at the shenanigans being carried on by the younger ones. She traveled extensively and was a strong supporter of Indiana State University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She was living her dream when she moved to her home on the lake with her beloved dogs.
Kathy joins her brothers, James Endress and Steven Neidlinger, and her parents, Bill and Joan (Cox) Endress in heaven. She is survived by her brothers, Larry Endress (Jeanne), William Endress (Sandra), Terry Endress (Christi), and Scott Neidlinger, her stepparents, Chris and Ruthann (Scott) Hester, 13 nieces and nephews, and 19 grandnieces and grandnephews.
