Carol Jean Kasserman, age 87, of Rittman, formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, died Sunday, June 29, 2025, at her residence, following a period of declining health.
Carol was born on August 15, 1937, in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Dana and Anna (Gibson) Fenner and was raised in Tennessee and lived most of her life in Rittman.
She was employed by the Nabisco Company in Seville for 30+ years prior to retirement.
Carol attended Rittman Community Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, babysitting her grandchildren, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and annual trips to her childhood home in Mountain City.
Surviving is her daughter, Eunice (Mark) Corban; sons, David (Dawn) Kasserman and Larry (Suzanne) Kasserman; grandchildren, Jennifer, Mathew, Cassie, Heather, Aubrie, Erin, Michael and Felicia; great grandchildren, Alexis, Hayley, Jaime, Brooklynn, Evelyn, Jaclyn, Corban, Colton, Kenleigh, Bailey, Everett, Novalee, Emilee and Clinton; sister, Judy Secrest; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dana Fenner; mother, Anna Fenner; husband, Jack A. Kasserman; siblings, Everett, Lucille, Jacqueline, Marjorie, Billy, JoAnn, Betty and Lynn; and brother-in-law, Wayne Kasserman, Sr.
Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family. Carol will be laid to rest with her late husband, Jack, at Rittman Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 3570 Executive Dr.; Unit 12, Uniontown, OH 44685 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
The family would like to thank Carol's daily caregiver, Taylor and the staff from Southern Care Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Carol.
