Carrie Pettie
1932-2025
Our loving mother’s soul was released to the heavens on April 3rd, 2025.
Carrie was born in Ava, Missouri, to Martha (Maddi) King-Anderson and Marshall E. Anderson. The family moved to Washington State and settled in Selah. Carrie met Jack Pettie after he returned from his naval tour of duty in the Pacific. They fell in love, married and raised four children. Carrie was a homemaker for many years while caring for her children. Later she worked for Larson Fruit until her retirement.
Carrie and Jack had many adventures over the years, such as riding with the Wenas Saddle Club and spending many hours on their boat fishing. They especially enjoyed their trip to Yellowstone with friends and family, exploring the trails on their snowmobiles. One of their longest adventures was traveling by motorhome with a large group of friends to see many states.
Carrie is survived by her children Judy Russell (Bob), David Pettie, Linda Quigley (Mike) and Carleta Teaford (Bill); her grandchildren Jeff Russell (Wendy), Chad Quigley (Jennifer), Shonda Neumeyer (Eric), Stacie Leonard (Mike); 10 great-grandchildren and niece JoAnne Jones.
Carrie was preceded in death by her husband Jack A. Pettie, grandson Jason Russell and granddaughter-in-law Kimberly Russell (Jeff).
Per Carrie’s request, there are no services planned at this time.
