Carol Lynne May (Brazelton), age 77, of Wolverine, Michigan, was called to her eternal home by God, on the morning of July 14, 2025, while resting peacefully with her husband at her side.
Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan to Clyde and Marjorie Brazelton on February 13th, 1948. She married Alan Keith May Sr. on July 26th,1969.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Marjorie, as well as her brother, Michael Brazelton.
Carol is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Alan May Sr., her three children, Alan May Jr. and his wife, Diane, Karin May, and Amy Bunker (May) and her husband, Shawn. Carol was also a grandmother to ten wonderful kids, David May, Jonathon May, Zachary Ryder, Kyle Ryder, Chase Bunker, Chance (Amber) Bunker, Colton Bunker, "Shawner" (Jessica) Bunker,Leon Bunker, and Rachael Bunker. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Mason, Easton, Evelynne, Veronika, and Elias, as well as a sister, Anita and brother, Mark.
Carol was loved by all for her amazing art talent, her quick wit and humor, and by most, her beautiful smile and love for others. She and Alan May Sr. had a fulfilling fifty-six years of marriage together. They weathered it all; good times, bad times, she was always by his side. While Alan Sr. was at work, she made it her priority at home to make sure everyone was taken care of and things were in their place.
Carol, the loving mother of three, left her full-time job to become a devoted stay at home mom. She saw the kids off to school every morning without hesitation and made sure they had available the necessities to succeed. She was ever present in helping with homework, and especially any projects that required good working art talent. Her love for her kids was seen through her work.
She also loved her music and shared this love with her kids, as she was often known to listen to Barry Manilow, Linda Ronstadt, Air Supply, and many others of her favorites, who we came to love so much and have forever been engrained in our minds and hearts.
Carol, although having a loving, musical, and artistic side, was also known to be a bit of a practical joker. She had an amazing sense of humor with the occasional peanut butter fight with her husband and sometimes, at the expense of Ronald May, (Alan May Sr's dad), decorating his deer blind, to quite literally, dressing his deer. Through her sense of humor, she touched each and every person she encountered.
At the wish of Carol May, she will be cremated and her ashes laid to rest in a cemetery plot at Northern Michigan Baptist Bible Church, Alanson, Michigan. Alan May Sr. will host a celebration of life when the time is right. Those planning an expression of sympathy, please consider a donation in honor of Carol, to the Northern Michigan Baptist Bible Church.
