Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home & CrematoryCarol Arlene Peterson, age 61, of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in the Town of Gibralter, WI.
Carol was born on March 31, 1964 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Grant and Arlene (Wood) Peterson. Carol graduated from Pleasant View School. They catered to special needs kids along with regular school kids.
Carol started working at Brook Industries in Fond du Lac around 1990 and loved going to work. She would get so excited talking about the new jobs she was learning.
She loved bowling, baseball, camping and of course the Packers. She was a big Packer fan. She did a lot of canvas needle point and gave them away as gifts to everyone she could. She did a lot of reading, drawing and making potholders on a potholder loom. Most of all, she loved Jesus and was very very excited going to church and singing praises to God.
Carol is survived by her sister, Becky Peterson; nephew, Thomas Grennier; niece, Sarah (Theo) Blasczyk; great-nieces and great-nephews, Collin, Romulus, Iroh, Xerxes, and Henry; and her friend and caregiver, Kelli Hughes, who played a huge part in her life.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Arlene Peterson.
A Celebration of Life for Carol will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Hillside Assembly, 656 W Oshkosh St, Ripon, WI, with Pastor Erik Boulier officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the church.
A memorial is being established in her name.
