Carol Rogers Obituary
She was the loving wife of Gordon C. Rogers who died October 12, 2023.
Born September 24, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Edwin K. and Vera K. (Gring) Weidner.
Carol was a 1961 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
She worked as a beautician for Shirley Eckert for over 40 years, retiring in 2012. After retirement, she worked at Jo-Ann Fabrics for several years.
Carol was a very active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.
She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandson, and was known as a very talented seamstress, a hobby she enjoyed for years..
Surviving are her two children: Jay A. Rogers, husband of Lee of Alsace Township and Linda M. Rogers of Reading. In addition, she is survived by her grandson, Kane Rogers.
Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Earl Weidner.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Laureldale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Calvary Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1009 Elizabeth Avenue, Laureldale, PA 19605.
