Carol Raylene Sellers
Raylene Sellers, passed away July 15,2025 at the age of 67 in Waco, Texas. Her family will be hosting a visitation from 6 to 8 PM Friday July 18th at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 19th at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early, Texas with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche.
Raylene was born on May 13, 1958 in Gorman, Texas to Elze Ray and Oma Virginia Sellers. She graduated from Brownwood High School and went to Central Texas Commercial College and Hillsboro Jr. College. Raylene was a activity director in numerous nursing homes throughout her career including Brownwood Care Center. She was very creative and loved making crafts and teaching her clients at the nursing home. She loved her sister and enjoyed spending time together. One of the times that Raylene and Ann visited was at the lake for a family get together. At the end of the day, they said their goodbyes to head back home. To say they were directionally challenged is an understatement. Over an hour later they came rolling by the family, they had been driving in circles around Thunderbird Bay for the entire time. Fortunately, they found the family again and were guided in the right direction the next time they were ready to go home. Raylene was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Brownwood before moving to Temple.
She was preceded in death by her father Elze Ray Sellers; grandmothers, Annie Sellers and Maxine Wilson; sister Ann Simmons and nephew Cory Sellers.
Raylene is survived by her mother Virginia Sellers of Brownwood; brothers, Harold Sellers and family of Brownwood and Gary Sellers and family of Springtown; Best friend and love of her life, Larry Lagut of Troy; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
