Carol Sue (Orrell) Standley, age 87, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Carol was born December 27, 1937, in Bolivar, Missouri. On December 24, 1955, she married Charles Kinder Standley in Bolivar, MO.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. Carol and her husband, Charles, were longtime members of the Chat and Chew group, where they enjoyed fellowship and friendship throughout the years.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; one son, Shawn (Jolene) Standley of Sheldon, Missouri; one daughter, Suzanne (David) Cato of Lamar, Missouri; five grandchildren, Stefanie Standley (Doug), Drew (Kayla) Cato, Shelby (Luke) Davey, Lakin (Dallas) Standley, and Kinder Standley; six great-grandchildren, Evan, Dayton, Natalie, Blake, Denver, and Xander; daughter-in-law, Christine Standley and one sister-in-law, Kathy Wilson.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother; one son, Steven Standley; one daughter, Penny Standley; and one brother, Jerry Wilson.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Daniel Funeral Home, with a private family burial to follow.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Juvenile Diabetes Reward for a Cure (JDRFAC), in care of the funeral home.
