Carol B. Stewart, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025.
She is survived by her beloved life partner, Ralph D’Amato; her devoted daughter, Susan Rook (and husband Brent); and her dear cousin Loretta (and family), with whom she shared a lifelong bond that was more like that of sisters.
Carol and Ralph were true adventurers, traveling the world together and visiting many countries, including Germany, France, Japan, and beyond. A passionate student of history, Carol cherished the experiences and stories gathered along their journeys. She was also an enthusiastic and fearless co-pilot, accompanying Ralph for more than a decade as they flew their small Cessna across the continental United States.
After retiring, Carol and Ralph made their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they enjoyed the culture, art, and landscape of the Southwest before later settling in Boynton Beach, Florida, where they resided in recent years.
Carol loved good food, tasty Chardonnay, and spirited conversation. She was proud of her patriotic spirit, love of country, and strong sense of individuality — qualities that she balanced with a deep appreciation for community and connection.
She was deeply loved, and she will be profoundly missed.
