Carole Ann Berg, 82 of Willmar, formerly of Paynesville and New London, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Compassionate Cottages in Willmar. Private family graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in New London. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
Carole Ann Berg was born January 19,1943, to Raymond and Dorothy (Hayne) Lee in Albert Lea, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She graduated from high School in Albert Lea in 1961. She married Morrie Evenson in 1961. One son, Michael, was born to this union. She married Calvin Berg in 1981 in Watertown, SD. She worked for Northwestern Bell/US West for 30 years, retiring in 1995. After retiring she enjoyed working on crosswords puzzles, reading, flowers, and watching Vikings and Twins games.
In her final days she cultivated many new friendships which she treasured.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Jodi) Evenson; stepdaughter, Debby (Butch) Zeiner; stepdaughter-in-law, Shelly Berg; sister, Nancy (Roger) Espe; stepbrother, Bryan (Betty) Holmquist; stepsister, Dianne (Richard) Krough; 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; stepson Jim; grandson, Cody; parents and brother; Darryl.
