Caroletta Duran Obituary

Caroletta "Carol" Duran, 87, of East Peoria, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born in Pekin on January 2, 1938, to Leonard and Dorothy (Griesser) Hild. She married Larry K. Worsfold, then later married Jerome "Jerry" Duran in East Peoria on May 3, 1986; he preceded her in death on July 13, 2023.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nelda Callaway and her brother, Gene Hild.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Parrish (Michelle Paul) Worsfold of Centennial, CO and Darrin (Callie) Worsfold of Galesburg; 4 grandchildren, Bret, Victoria, Alexandria, and Sebastian; 3 step grandchildren, Adam, Marie, and Anna; 2 step great-grandchildren, Harper and James; and her brother, Ron Hild of St. Petersburg, FL.
Carol spent 26 years in Accounts Payable at Caterpillar.
She was of the Catholic faith, attending both St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria and St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria, and was involved with the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Carol was part of the American Red Cross Disaster Division for 14 years, during which time she managed a shelter in New York City following 9/11 and several other significant disasters.
Carol's Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Father John Steffen will officiate. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
